Temecula Wine Country: Barrel Room Especial

Roll out the barrel already!

For the first time, Danza Del Sol Winery opened the doors of its Barrel Room to the public, on September 3, 2017, where wine lovers had the pleasure of partaking in barrel sampling. The equestrian friendly winery is soon to do it up again!

Wine tasters gathered it the cool barrel room to sample two special wines selected by winemaker, Art Villareal.

A 2016 Olson Estate Grenache from Temecula with flavor profile of bright strawberry and lush cherry flavors meet with prominent vanilla spice—stored in American, Russian & Eastern European oak for 18 moths, to be released in the spring of 2018.

An estate grown 2015 Cabernet Franc from Temecula with mellow notes of molasses and warm spice, as well as, flavors of mulberry, pomegranate and cranberry—stored in Hungarian, Eastern Europe, American and Russian oak for 28 months to be released in the spring of 2018.

I decided to sip the last of my wine in the outdoor patio where other wine lovers enjoyed live music performed by Brennen and Amanda. Seoul Man Food Truck was also at this event offering tasty bites.

From the food truck I had Relentless Fries. Golden crisp fries smothered in Alabama sauce (horseradish based) and Mee Maw sauce (molasses based) with Kansas City burnt pork ends and apple wood (nitrate-free) smoked bacon. This guilty pleasure sure has flavors that keep on giving.

The next Barrel Room special event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, Dec 2, 2017 from 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Providing tasty bites will be God Save the Cuisine Food Truck.

Cheers!
