Recipe: Blackberry Jalapeño Margarita


It's getting hot in here!

I partook in cocktail tasting at a food expo and collected this recipe from reps of Powell & Mahoney Cocktail Mixers. I really enjoyed this margarita and would like to share the recipe... because you know I care.

I certainly have an appreciation for spiciness, but if you don't, feel free to use less jalapeño or omit it completely from the recipe if needed be.

Ingredients

•48 oz. fresh blackberries •12 oz agave •12 oz water •4 fresh jalapeños •Tequila of choice •Grand Marnier or Cointreau

•Margarita mix (Powell & Mahoney Craft Cocktail Mixers or your favorite)

Directions 1. In a sauce pan, combine & boil blackberries, water, agave, chopped jalapeños 2. Reduce heat & simmer for 10 min 3. Strain mixture & allow to cool 4. Combine mixture with margarita mix & chill

Cocktail In a cocktail shaker with ice, add 2 oz tequila, 1/2 oz Cointreau or GM, 3 oz of the blackberry jalapeño margarita mix.
